Greed - An Assignment

I never did turn this in - I did vanity and modesty instead. I just couldn’t think up a generous mermaid! Could you?

Greed for assignment

Cordially Invited

I know I’ve told you about the “killer” English Professor. Well, I complained but only when I was half stepping… long story short, I grew to really love him and his style of teaching. I planned to take him again next Fall but he told us over breakfast once “My Lit classes are mostly by invite only.” So I got excited because what English Professor doesn’t love me?!

Well, the thing about this Professor is there is never any time for anything to go to your head. I didn’t get the invitation until the finals were over “you are cordially invited to take my class.” I’m excited because I was getting very worried as the weeks went by and I didn’t hear anything. I heard from a bunch of other students that his literature classes were wonderful! I can’t wait! I will really need an engaging professor for Shakespeare to be interesting to me, seeing as though I’ve been reading his plays since I was 9! (I played Bianca from taming of the Shrew - it was a HUGE deal at the time!) Hopefully I did well on the actual comp 2 final. The MLA freaked me out even though all I had to do was “Open the book, and copy what you see.”

**fingers crossed**

After the final the Professor invited us to lunch and we talked about some environmental issues and our “green fellowship” - which is like UDCs Green team. I am actually one of the founding members! You, my friend, are cordially invited to check out my page about the environment:http://network.earthday.net/profile/AyeshaJ

Enjoy!

Modesty

This was a rush job because I couldn’t decide on a concept for my assignment. I decided on this and airbrushing an Anna Sui ad. I like how it resembles traditional medium ( watercolor.)

I will post it’s counter part vanity later.

Much to do

Yesterday I got some good news! I got my SAR in the mail today that says my EFC=0. (Your EFC is how much they expect you to pay for school before they pitch in for tuition) I am planning to use half of the refund check as spending money in France. As I was showing the proof to my Professor, she let me know that in order for us to have a good deal on tickets we’ll have to lay over in London for a few hours. She’s already planned some activities to do there. I know this is a lot of Europe, but I’ll take it while the takings free and for college credit. ^_^ She also got me a $700.00 scholarship towards my boarding and eating. I can see why people love this school so much!

So later that afternoon I remounted all my projects for my Final with Professor Talley’s Computer Art class - it must have taken about 2 hours to cut everything nice and neat. When I went down stairs to turn it in, Talley handed me a paper with my final grade which was an A. It was a letter attached saying how much he enjoyed having me as a student and invited me back next semester. He said a lot of other things that has really motivated me to take more classes as my electives.

I got home and had the most gorgeous sleep and slept in until about 10, but there is still much do to! I have to finish trying to secure my A’s in my other courses. I’ll write more when something exciting happens!
